Using MorphMind

Common questions about projects, specialists, workflows, and getting the most out of MorphMind.

What is the fastest way to get the most out of MorphMind?

We have an initial quick-start guide that we are continuing to improve: Quick Start Guide.

That said, the fastest way to get started is to keep the following in mind:

  • Talk to it the way you would talk to a colleague — naturally, with your task, questions, and ideas.
  • If anything feels unclear or unsatisfying, say so directly. The system is designed to adapt as you interact with it.
  • For complex tasks, the system will often assign a team of AI specialists and create a dynamic workflow on the right side of the screen. If it doesn't, you can always ask it to do so explicitly.

How do I upload files?

Simply drag and drop files into the chat box, or click the + button to browse. Every file you upload becomes part of your project context — there's no need to upload to a specific specialist separately. All specialists in your project can access the files you share in the chat.

How do I quickly teach a specialist new skills?

Click on a specialist's avatar to open their profile, then:

  1. Upload a skill file — a short instruction document (similar to custom instructions in tools like ChatGPT or Claude) that tells the specialist how to approach a specific task.
  2. Create a new skill — write instructions directly in the skill editor.
  3. Search community skills — browse skills shared by other MorphMind users and add them with one click.

Skills are what make your specialists smarter over time. Think of them as reusable "how-to" guides that shape how a specialist works.

How do I assign jobs to specialists?

Just ask in the chat. Describe what you need, and MorphMind will suggest a team of specialists suited to your task. You can also manually assign specialists to specific workflow steps through the Team panel.

Why does report generation take so long?

Generating long-form text (reports, papers, documentation) is naturally more time-intensive and consumes more credits than tasks like searching or computing.

For the best experience:

  • Break your document into steps — decompose it so each chapter or section is generated as a separate workflow step. This way you can see intermediate results in real time and catch issues early.
  • Be specific about length — if you have a target page count, tell the agent upfront (e.g., "generate a 5-page report"). The system can then suggest ways to optimize the workflow.
  • Enable notifications (upcoming feature) — for longer generation tasks, turn on notifications so you'll be alerted when a step completes or if something needs your attention mid-way.

What is a project?

A project is your AI workspace — it contains the work you want to complete, the workflow steps, and the specialists that carry out the work.

Can I edit my project after creating it?

Yes. You can update and modify workflow steps, and add or remove specialists at any time within the project.

How do I add or remove specialists from a project?

You can add or remove specialists through the chat using @, from the workflow canvas, or through the Team Management panel.

What's the difference between "Review Each Step" and "Auto-Complete" mode?

  • Review Each Step — The agent pauses after each task so you can check the output before moving on.
  • Auto-Complete — The agent runs the workflow automatically without pausing between steps.

We recommend starting with Review Each Step, then switching to Auto-Complete once you're confident in the workflow.

Can I re-run a single workflow step?

Yes. Click on any workflow card in the canvas to re-run that specific step, or use the chat to ask your specialist to re-run it — without running the entire workflow again.

Can I export my project's outputs?

Yes. Once outputs are generated, you can click to review and download them directly.

How do I connect my own files or data sources?

MorphMind supports Google, GitHub, and Dropbox connection. Go to Settings → Data Connections to link your accounts. You can also click the + button in the chatbox while inside a project to connect these additional third-party services.
